When you need to rearrange the garden, it can seem utterly daunting.  I like to propogate all kinds of plants.  When I’ve had pruning, I cannot physically cut off and throw away a whole living stalk or branch.  There must be something in that cut body that can be salvaged and a new one grown on.    This is particularly the case with some paeonies which for years seemed to languish in a pot in the corner of a forgotten flower bed.  This seemed such a waste, so another one was cut from an underneath branch and a whole new shrub is about to enter with huge unopened flower buds.  It’s going to be corker so I’ve got an idea to cut a sample from the next two and keep regenerating this one plant.   I’ve had another paeony for years and years and not once has it flowered.  Saly.
