I was visiting some relatives who live in their dream house out in the sticks.  Literally – they’re on the edge of the state of a large, delapidated Grade I listed pile.   They had a dream to move to the country when they set up home together a few  years ago and this year the dream started to fulfill itself.   They have a wide garden, not so deep,  but it’s surrounded by trees from the estate of the grade I listed Hall nearby.  This presents some challenges – especially in the very windy weather that we’ve experienced a lot this year.  Good quality patio furniture has been sought to replace lightweight picnic chairs last seen sailing off over the fence recently.  Once retrieved, they weren’t up to much!  Getting the best and sturdiest loungers and patio tables for permanent settings is critical – the expense will be worth it.  Covering the set up with suitably fitting cover will extend their life even further.
